So, this little guy came about as I was trying to decide what I would get as my second tattoo. (FYI, I'm still trying to decide. If you're wondering what my first one looks like, check it out here.)

I'm sure there are plenty of meanings out there for swans, and birds, and origami, (and everything else under the sun,) but, for me, some of the things this sketch represents are:

1. You can make something beautiful out of something plain.

2. Birds are cool. I mean, they can fly of their own volition. And they're pretty much modern-day dinosaurs. Kind of.

3. Sometimes, you have to turn things inside-out and upside-down before you start to see any progress or signs of the good things to come.

4. Don't ever be afraid to spread your wings and see what's out there.
